A Mr. Ron Haycock (his company is Lawrence Skinner Associates) talked a lot of very financially naïve people into using their credit to buy real estate – specifically, homes between $500,000 and $2,000,000. All of these people had excellent credit to begin with, and now their credit scores are typically in the 400-500 range.
